22ND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the 22nd Annual General Meeting of The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria will take place at LCCI Building, Plot 10, Nurudeen Olowopopo Drive, Central Business District, Alausa – Ikeja, Lagos as follows:

Date: Wednesday 4th June, 2014

Time: 12 noon prompt

AGENDA

1. To adopt the minutes of the 21st Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 5th June, 2013.

2. To lay before the meeting the Report of Council

3. To adopt the Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December, 2013 and the Report of the Auditors thereon.

4. To appoint the Auditors and authorise Council to fix their remuneration

5. To elect members of Council

6. To consider and adopt the following motion:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the 22nd Annual General Meeting of the Institute taking place at the LCCI Building, Plot 10 Nurudeen Olowopopo Drive, Central Business District, Alausa - Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday, 4th June, 2014, Council shall as per its decision during the 131st Council Meeting of 21st February, 2014 seek the approval of members that :

a. the terms of office of the President, the Vice President and the Deputy Vice President shall continue to be two (2) years respectively;

b. on cessation of the term of office of the President, the Vice President shall become the President as of right by way of succession;

c. on cessation of the term of the Vice President, the Deputy Vice President shall become the Vice President by way of succession, provided the Deputy Vice President remains a member of Council through election; and

d. the President and the Vice President, during their respective tenures, shall not be subjected to election.

7 To consider any other business.
