REVISED EXEMPTION POLICY TO EXISTING STUDENTS


Dear Students,


The Council has approved that the exemptions under the new syllabus should be applied irrespective of whether student are new or old. It means that the standard for exemptions should be uniformly applied, whether students have previously applied for exemption or had attempted examinations prior to November 2019.


By implication, newly registered students (those who registered or applied for exemption after the October 2019 Examination) can apply directly for the exemptions and examination on the website through their profile.


GUIDELINES FOR ONLINE APPLICATION FOR NEW STUDENTS:


- Go to https://www.citn.org
- Input your username and password in member login area (Registered Students who are yet to have username and password should request for same by sending a mail to studentaffairs@https://www.citn.org. Use the username and password to update your profile and pay your subscription due. Without performing this process first, you cannot proceed to register for the examination.) Click Register for an examination
- Choose an examination centre, and then choose an examination’
- Students will be required to upload their signature on the portal
- The page of the subjects you are to write will automatically come up
- Students are to tick the courses they intend to write
- Click on Proceed to payment where 19 digits reference code will be generated.


FOR EXISTING STUDENTS


Existing students (students who had either attempted examinations or had applied for exemption prior to December 2019) would have to apply manually pending when the portal is updated to accomodate the new exemption rule. They are required to click the link below to apply for both exemption and examination for April 2020 examination. This category of students will make payment for the difference in the new exemption and examination fees as applicable.


Note:


- This policy is applicable to only the existing students (as identified above) and IT IS OPTIONAL.
Potential Students are to ensure that they complete their registrations and/or exemptions on or before Wednesday, March 18, 2020 to be eligible to write the April 2020 diet.
- Entry for April 2020 examinations diet has commenced from Tuesday, January 7, 2020 and will close on Saturday, March 28, 2020. One week grace is allowed for late registration at an additional fee of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00). Candidates are advised to pay their annual subscriptions (if outstanding), apply and submit their forms online as directed below:


Candidates can choose any of the following payment options:


Pay online: Process: Pay using any Bank ATM Debit Cards (Mastercard, VISA, Verve) on Global Pay, Webpay or pay with Quickteller on the CITN Portal. Using this channel, your application will be submitted automatically.


Pay directly/transfer to CITN Access Bank (Diamond ): Account Number 0105737871 or CITN Zenith Bank Plc 1010147149. Send Payment teller with reference code to exams@https://www.citn.org or funke@https://www.citn.org for update.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:


Council has approved the registration of undergraduates as student members provided they possess five credits (in not more than two sittings) at O Level including English Language and Mathematics. In addition, certified letter of admission from the Tertiary Institution of the undergraduate would be required. Such students will start sitting for the Institutes Examination from the Foundation level before progressing to other levels.
