Dear Member,
Please be informed that the 2020 Council Election of the Institute will commence on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 12noon and closes at 12noon on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Members are required to check below the list of eligible voters to ascertain eligibility, list of contestants for the 2020 election, guidelines and procedures for the election exercise.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR VOTING
1. Visit https://www.evota.com.ng/generatepassword
2. Enter your “membership number” (e.g. 1 or 11 or 111 or 1111, 11111 etc.) as your “voter ID”
3. Choose password delivery option (SMS, WhatsApp or email) and click on “Generate Password”
Note that:
a. Password is case sensitive
b. Members who did not receive the generated password in their phone/email inbox should check their spam mail (see FAQ below)
c. Members are advised to confirm their eligibility and password delivery options by clicking the link - https://bit.ly/2020_eligible_list
4. After receiving the password through email, SMS or WhatsApp, Click “sign in”, then type your “membership number” and the generated password just received
5. Then click “sign in”
6. Once logged in, click “click here to vote”
7. Click “View Contestants’ Profile”
8. Select four (4) candidates of your choice to vote (you cannot vote for more or less than four (4) contestants)
9. Confirm your selection and copy/type the code displayed in the box
10. Click “Click to Vote”
11. A message that will "show successful voting" will be displayed for a moment and as well sent to your phone and/or email box.
12. You will be directed to a feedback page to give insight about your voting experience in order to assist your Institute in future elections.


FAQs FOR CITN VOTERS’
1. I am financially up-to-date but I cannot access the e-voting portal
Answer: Check to confirm your eligibility on CITN website or through the link https://bit.ly/2020_eligible_list
2. I am financially up to date but my name is not on the eligible list.
Answer: Kindly check the CITN website https://www.citn.org or contact CITN Secretariat via email info@https://www.citn.org and phone numbers (08025319880 between 8am to 6pm Nigeria time) for assistance.
3. I have not received my generated password to access the e-voting portal.
Answer: Check phone number and email registered with the Institute. Also check your spam mail box.
4. What is the address of the e-voting portal?
Answer: www.evota.com.ng/generatepassword. (Use Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome browser etc)
5. How do I cast my votes?
Answer: Read through the VOTING INSTRUCTION and follow the steps
6. The password sent to me could not log me into the e-voting portal
Answer: Type in the password correctly as password is case sensitive
7. When can I cast my vote?
Answer: Voting is open online for 16 days starting from 12noon, (Nigerian Time) on 18th May, 2020 to 12noon (Nigerian Time) on 2nd June, 2020. You can vote at any time as the portal is open 24hours throughout the period.
8. After successful login to the e voting platform, my system or internet went off before casting my vote?
Answer: Follow the voting instruction and start again.
9. I do not have access to my generated password anymore
Answer: Input your username and click on ‘Generate Password’ again. Note that the same password will be re-generated throughout.
10. How do I know that my votes are cast?
Answer: Immediately you click on “Vote” Button for your selected candidates, the page will display “You have successful voted” and a confirmation will also be sent to your registered email address and/or phone number with a receipt of your voting reference code as evidence of voting.
11. After successful login to the e voting platform, my system or internet went off before casting my vote?
Answer: Follow the voting instructions and start again. Note that the voting portal shall time you out after 30 minutes of inactivity.
12. I made a mistake while updating my profile on the portal (Phone/or email address)
Answer: Sorry, you cannot vote!
13. How many contestants can I vote for?
Answer: Four (4) contestants.
